Charter with Chi Alpha

Chi Alpha is the Assemblies Of God ministry to secular colleges and universities. If you’re doing college ministry in the Assemblies, you should really let Chi Alpha know about it so that they can work together with you to reach collegians.

This is really easy to do: either charter online or if the link is defunct email mailto:chialpha@ag.org and ask for a charter form and instructions.

Why charter?

  1. Recognition as a member of a national campus organization. This means that you gain credibility with university administrators for your on-campus ministry
  2. Annual Chi Alpha directory—great for networking. Chi Alpha is on over 200 campuses nationwide—that’s a lot of experience to tap into
  3. Special grants, discounts, and eligibility for free evangelism literature and training materials through Assemblies of God organizaions such as Light For the Lost and Boys and Girls Missionary Crusade. This is a major benefit for outreach!
  4. Chi Alpha Missions Opportunities Magazine - Chi Alpha is the largest supplier of long-term missionaries in the Assemblies of God—we know how to mobilize college students for global impact! (learn more at xaMissions.com)
  5. You will be included on the national XA directory at www.chialpha.com - This is a great way for students to find out about your ministry—and for area youth pastors to find out about your ministry so they can refer students to you!
  6. Becoming part of a training and continuing education network. There aren’t a lot of places to get training for college ministry—but you’ve just found a good one!
  7. Nationally produced campus ministry promotional material - Chi Alpha makes some great gear that you can order if you’re using the name, and you can only use the name if you’re chartered!
